The Hunger Games Tournament
at Norwood Library
1 PM – 3 PM
Norwood Public Library will be holding its second Hunger Games Tournament at Norwood’s lower park. Participants will take place in a skirmish using foam Nerf weapons. The winner of the LARP-style battle will be rewarded with a gift certificate for AMC just in time to see Catching Fire. While not mandatory, participants are being encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food goods or a small sum of money ($5.00 is recommended). All of the food and money will be collected and donated to local food shelter, Loaves and Fishes. The last time we held this event we collected over $150 and 100 pounds of food, so let’s try to beat that goal. All Nerf weapons will be provided by the library, so please don’t bring your own. They will also be using a portion of the park’s woods, so please wear pants, long sleeves, and shoes / boots.
Registration is required in advance
