Kind 006

One of the characteristics I am always striving to be is KIND.  As a nurse, I strive to be KIND to my patients, giving them my attention, listening, nurturing them and doing what I can to make them feel better.  As a wife, I try to be KIND to my husband.  I try to remember to thank him for the little things he does to make my life happier and less stressful, for helping me to make our family our priority and helping to make and keep our relationship the best it can be. And I believe in paying it forward with little acts of KINDness.  Whether it be opening a door for someone, offering a greeting or positive words to someone who looks like they could use a pick me up, volunteering when I can be of help or donating a pile of goods from the house to someone else in need.  It’s the little and big things that all add up – all can make a big difference in someone else’s life – and it all comes from the simple act of KINDness.

Above all, as a Mom, I have made a commitment to myself to be KIND to myself and my children.  Being KIND by showing my love, opening my heart and making sure that my children know that I always care about them.  Being KIND to myself is just as important as caring for my family.  Without my health and well being, I cannot give them the 100% of myself that they deserve.  Caring for our health is a top priority.  Being kind to our bodies by incorporating exercise and a well balanced diet is something I am working on not only for myself, but for all of us.  Treating my family to more fruits, veggies and healthy grains and choosing healthy, well balanced snacks helps to keep us all at our best – in school, at work, at home and at play. I am always looking for new, healthy products to incorporate into our family’s diet and I am always thrilled when I find ones that the whole family loves!

KIND Healthy Grain bars have quickly become a favorite in our house! The newest line of bars from KIND are All Natural, NON GMO and Gluten Free and average about 150 calories per bar.  They are as wholesome as they are delicious and I cannot tell you just how yummy these are! With five delicious flavors including Dark Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Blueberry, Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt and Oats & Honey with Toasted Coconut, there are flavors to suit everyone’s tastes.  The Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate is a favorite of everyone in our house, but my ultimate favorite happens to be the Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt (absolutely heavenly!!)  Perfect for a breakfast on the go, a mid morning snack or afterschool munchies, these bars keep us feeling full and satisfied.

I love how when you look at these bars you can actually see all of the natural, healthy ingredients – take a look:

Very useful post. Thank you so much for writing this post! I like whole grains, B-vitamins are a big part of whole grains; B-vitamins include niacin, thiamin, and riboflavin. These nutrients play a key role in keeping up a healthy metabolism as well as a healthy immune system.

  11. I have tried grain bars before but I could not develop a taste for them and I am still in the search for a delicious grain bar.
