I need to defrost my deep freezer so in an effort to clean it out, my menu items this week are coming mainly from ingredients I already have on hand. It’s a great way to not only save money by using up all of the items that are in my freezer, but it also helps to use items that may otherwise go unnoticed and need to be discarded if they sit too long. This is my second week working on this and I have only had to buy basic items and fresh produce to round out complete meals! Do you do a routine freezer and pantry cleanout from time to time?
Monday – Grilled Turkey Cheddar Sausage Links served on a bun with New York Hot Dog Cart Onion Sauce using recipe HERE and a side of sweet potato fries
Tuesday – Slow Cooker Shredded Buffalo Chicken (using the recipe HERE) served with lettuce on a whole wheat wrap
Wednesday – Turkey Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, steamed veggies
Thursday – Spaghetti with choice of Clams or Mussels, baby carrots and dip
Friday – Leftovers
