Delaware River Waterfront Labor Day Weekend Celebration
We’re ending the summer with a bang! Come visit the waterfront for concerts, festivals, roller skating, boardwalk games, fireworks and more.
FEATURED EVENTS:
The U.S. Army Band Downrange performance at Penn’s Landing at 8PM on Sunday, September 3, followed by the final fireworks show of the summer at 9:30PM.
Final Weekend at Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest. That’s right, the rink closes on Monday, September 4 as we prepare it to become Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest. Come out to experience roller skating, mini-golf, boardwalk-style games, the Ferris Wheel, carousel, Chickie’s & Pete’s Waterfront Crabshack, Franklin Fountain and more. Open Friday and Saturday 11AM – 1AM, all other days 11AM – 11PM.
Labor Day Weekend Cruises with the Spirit of Philadelphia, including a special FIREWORKS cruise on the 3rd
Paddle Penn’s Landing Program throughout the weekend. Rent a kayak or canoe or swan boat to get out on the water.

– Art Star Pop Up Market at Spruce Street Harbor Park from 12-5PM
– Behind-The-Scenes Tours of the historic ships, Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna via the Independence Seaport Museum

– Blue Corn Organic and Green Festival from 12 – 4PM at Penn’s Landing

From making butter, to getting water from the well, to dyeing their clothes, every day was Science Day. Join us on the farm to conduct your own scientific experiments—dye a handkerchief using indigo and madder root (see event picture); churn butter and discover how baking is like chemistry; create and use simple machines to perform chores, use a tape measure to calculate the weight of our oxen, and more! 
Admission: Admission is $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children ages 4 to 12. Children under age 4 are free. Last admission is at 3:00pm.
