Media Arts Council Music Series on First Fridays
BYOB
Jean Therapy is an eclectic Cover Band playing an interesting fusion of Rock, Latin, Retro Pop & Blues from the 60’s & 70’s. The band celebrates the sophistication of master musicians like Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Joni Mitchell’s jazz-rock period, Sergio Mendez and other great artists of the 60’s & 70’s with their own modern interpretations of classic Fusion music. Slightly off center, yet hauntingly familiar, this unique cover band’s repertoire is fun, it’s adult and it’s unexpected.

PAWS for Reading
2 PM – 3 PM
at Middletown Free Library
“PAWS for Reading is a program that allows children to read aloud to a therapy dog (or cat, or bunny!) in order to improve reading and communication skills. Children read individually to trained therapy pets (and their handlers) in schools, libraries, or other settings where they can feel comfortable and confident — and have fun! After all, a dog will not correct them or make them feel awkward if they stumble.”
Recommended ages 5 and up
Readers are limited to 10 minutes of reading aloud to a pet, but can read on their own or color while waiting. Register to reserve a spot for your young reader using his/her name. Click on the date you’d like to attend and fill out the form for your child. Click “Add Guest” to add spot(s) for siblings.
The 10-minute time slots will be done on a first come, first to sign up on site at the library on the day of the visit.
If you register but do not show-up without notice, you will forfeit any future sign-ups for this program.
Those on our wait list are welcome to come and take any open space that may happen from no-shows.
