…and your art may be on display at the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts
The Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA), inspired by the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, April 7-May 1, 2011, and MetroKids Magazine invite youth to submit art for a special digital art exhibition.

Your child’s art may be featured on the new 8-ft. video cube at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Broad & Spruce Sts., Philadelphia. Many submissions will also appear in an online gallery at MetroKids.com.
Your family will be also entered for a chance to win a PIFA Family Outing Ticket Package, including free tickets for a Philadelphia Magic Gardens guided mural tour and tickets to see Basil Twist’s Petrushka at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
About the Exhibition
Selected submissions will be on rotating display on the new video cube outside the Kimmel Center on Saturdays, April 9 thru 30, 10am-12noon. Come for these fun family programs at the Kimmel Center on Saturdays in April to see if your child’s art is on display:
• Who Stole the Mona Lisa?, April 9, 11am, a multimedia arts experience
• Hot Club of Philadelphia, April 16, 11am, a hands-on introduction to jazz
• Paris Wheels & Ready Maids, April 21-23, 11am, 1:30pm & 4pm,
explore the arts of Paris through puppets, dance & storytelling
• Family Easter Egg Hunt, April 24 (Sunday), 11am
• PIFA Street Fair, April 30, 11am-8:30pm, eight-block fair transforming Broad Street into a Parisian street festival!

All children ages 3-16 are invited to submit art based on the idea that “art is all around us.” What art do you see in your neighborhood? What art have you created that is inspired by where you live? You may take a photo of art or submit an image of original art that you have created. Submissions must be received by Thursday, April 7, 2011.
