Free Science Carnival on the Ben Franklin Parkway and Philadelphia Book Festival Saturday April 16th

For those of you with kids who are science fanatics like my son, this science wonderland on the parkway is going to be like none other you’ve ever experienced! On Saturday April 16th, families can enjoy non-stop experiments, games, activities and more than 80 exhibitors as well as live entertainment as Logan Circle transforms into a super duper over the top outdoor sciece lab extravaganza! The Philadelphia Science Festival’s 2011 Science Carnival is sure to please all of your little budding scientists and chemists-in-the-making! Some activities include: trying liquid nitrogen ice cream, making gak, meeting live zoo animals, checking out the inner-workings of robots, taking a tour of a helicopter, extracting DNA from a strawberry, testing a “crime scene” for forensic evidence, and so much more!

In addition, Philadelphia is also holding the the Book Festival Street Fair (just a few steps away) in conjunction with the Science Carnival; so be sure to drop by to visit that as well!
