The Creative Living Room (15 Chester Road Swarthmore, PA) will be hosting a First Friday Japanese Festival Fundraiser on Friday May 6th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. This is a special Fundraiser for Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief and is geared for children ages 2-10. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Special guests, local parents, teachers and artists all natives of Japan, will share the cultural arts of traditional kamishibai storytelling, songs and music played on the koto, craft time making ‘koinorbori’ fish kites, also a Kimono and skateboard auction.

Donations will be collected by Philadelphia Japan Disaster Relief Fund C/O Beneficial Bank in Newtown Square. From this organization, all funds received will be forwarded directly to the Japanese Red Cross Society for the Japan Society; The Japan Earthquake Relief Fund http://www.japansociety.org.
