On August 20th, I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful event in NYC hosted by fellow Philly Social Media Moms Colleen Classy Mommy and Whitney Mommies with Style. The event was sponsored by 77 kids. 77 Kids is a new line of children’s clothing brought to you by American Eagle. These clothes are trendy, hip and absolutely adorable! They recently opened a new store in Times Square. Did you know we also have a local store at the King of Prussia Mall? YAY! If you choose to check them out online, 77 kids is currently offering free shipping for a limited time. Here’s a peek at a few of the adorable outfits that 77 Kids had for us to preview at style school. Look at those jackets…SOOOO COOL!
Here’s a list of all of the wonderful sponsors of the event. It was so nice meeting and chatting with the representatives from the companies that were present.
I was so impressed at how kid friendly the event was! Many of the bloggers brought along their children. There were fun-filled stations for the kids to enjoy including a Play-Doh station, hair makeovers from Remington and a mowhawk station complete with funky bright hair spray. After their makeovers, kids were able to pose for pics in a fun photo booth as well as the numerous photo op spots located near 77 Kids and Motts. 77 Kids also had candy, games and accessories galore for the kids to enjoy. Although I did not bring my kids along, I did bring them home some treats. Here’s a pic of them showing off some of their swag:
Zulily had a great table displaying some of the awesome products they feature on their site. In addition, bloggers were welcome to participate in a cool clothing swap. I brought several items to swap and came home with a sweet Hello Kitty dress, jacket and rock n roll T shirt for my daughter. Have you checked out Zulily? If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up HERE. Then get ready to receive daily deals for Moms, Babies and kids at a 30-90% savings! Zulily also told us that they now have a great smartphone app as well! If you have a smartphone, be sure to check it out.
Motts introduced us to an awesome new applesauce product that they are releasing soon – just in time for back to school. It is a squeezable applesauce that comes in this great packaging. Kids were having a blast devouring these at style school; they come in a yummy strawberry applesauce flavor as well. I certainly will be getting some of these to pack in my kids lunches and to keep in my purse or car for a quick on the go snack. Check it out:
Motts also chatted about their other healthy kid options including a family favorite, Mott’s apple juice. Check out the cool display (and runway for the kids) that was set up at the event:
Lands End (one of my very favorite places to shop) was on hand with an awesome display of back to school favorites from their collection. My heart melted when I saw this sweet ivory sweater – it’s at the top of my wishlist for my daughter:
Lands End also provided us all with an awesome backpack to take home. Ours was camo and made my son jump for joy! The backpack is made of strong, durable material and has great pockets and accessories, which are perfect for organizing all of their school supplies. Can you tell my son LOVES his?
Now that Lands End had the kids all organized with their backpacks, it was time to stop by and pay a visit to MomAgenda. This company has amazing products that are perfect for keeping Moms and families organized. I was super impressed with the day planners! In addition, I was thrilled to come home with a sweet school years book, perfect for saving mementos from my littlest one’s school years.
Children’s Advil, a trusty product that we always have on hand in our home, was on hand to discuss their products and offer samples. This will certainly come in handy with the chilly weather, flu and cold season approaching!
Although I did not personally have a hair makeover, many of the bloggers took time to enjoy having their hair styled by Remington. Remington had a bunch of great hair products on hand. My favorite by far was this cool Style Solutions Wrap to Wave styler. You use the dual barrels to make figure 8 sections of hair. It leaves you with gorgeous, beachy waves and curls. This amazing product retails for $27.99 and you can get it at Remington online with free shipping. Lucky for us, Remington provided us all with one of these magnificent tools to take home. Needless to say, my fashion savvy 20 year old swept this one right out of my hands.
Finally to wrap the day up, we were greeted with a delicious glass of wine from Cameron Hughes. My Moscato was absolutely delicious. This company partners with the finest wineries around the world, buying and contracting their high quality wines to sell at very affordable prices. They can be purchased on their website and are also sold at Costco, Sam’s Club, Cost Plus World Markets, Kroger, Harris Teeter, Safeway, Vons, Lucky/Savemart, Publix.
Many thanks to all of the sponsors who provided us with an amazing swag bag full of products to take home! My daughter is loving her great ouchless brush and ouchless hair bands from Goody (perfect for her little curly hair; I’ll have to admit – I love these ouchless bands myself) Goody ouchless bands and Suave dry shampoo are perfect for hectic mornings when I barely have time to get dressed let alone style my hair as well as after workouts at the gym when I have just enough time to freshen up before I have to scoot back to pick up the kids! I am super excited to receive my Mabel’s Labels so I can properly lavel all of my preschooler’s school accessories. By the way, the first 5 readers to email me delcodealdiva@yahoo.com, will get a code for 20% off your purchase at Mabel’s Labels. And, I am saving my yummy coupons from McDonald’s to treat my kids to a little afterschool snack one of these upcoming afternoons. They have both been begging to try the fruit smoothies.
I’d say after this great day in New York, we are all stylin’ and ready for the back to school routine thanks to Style School!
Disclosure: I received a swag bag filled with products and coupons from the various sponsors. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
