Now that I have children of my own, I can honestly say I appreciate teachers more than ever. Teachers mold lives, they change lives and they truly are the foundation for our futures. (Not to mention they are almost always organized and have unbelievable nerves of steel …I truly have no idea how they do it!) I was blessed with so many teachers through my years of schooling that challenged me yet made school a fun and exciting place to be. I was one of the kids that loved going to school; I looked forward to it everyday. It excites me as a Mom to see that same eagerness to learn and go to school in my own children. Their teachers have been absolutely amazing – from preschool on. My oldest daughter is now in her third year of college and called me this past week to tell me of all of the A’s and B’s she has earned this semester. She is so independent and successful; I attribute much of that to the fine teachers that lead her through her years of school. To all of my teachers out there – thank you for helping me to get where I am today. Thank you for always feeding my thirst for knowledge. And for my children’s teachers past, present and future – my deepest gratitude to you for all you do – you truly make a difference – and I appreciate each and every one of you.
