Nine long years ago I made a choice to become a full time stay-at-home Mom. The first year was quite the change for me as I had always worked full time prior to my son Aidan’s birth. Although it was wonderful being able to enjoy every precious moment with my son, I have to admit – I felt somewhat alone and I was craving adult interaction. I found out about our local MOMS Club in the Town Talk. I remember making the call to get information about the club. There was an open house for new members a few weeks later. I have to say, it was one of the best decisions I ever made to attend that day. I met a wonderful group of Moms, who all lived in my area and had young children. They were all at-home parents. I laughed and felt a connection with so many Moms that day that I decided to join on the spot – and the rest is history. I have met some of my best friends from this group. And my children have met some of their best friends as well. Our families look forward to getting together. These ladies have been there for me in every way – through all my ups and downs. They lend an ear, they offer help, they are true friends in every way. I am so grateful for my MOMS Club friends – being home with the kids for all these years could not have been nearly as fun as it has been being a part of this amazing group! –
