Dress Up for Halloween with WholesaleCostumeClub.com {Review & Giveaway}

Halloween is just over 2 months away.  About this time every year, my kids start pondering about what they want to be for Halloween.  It doesn’t hurt that my son was born on Halloween, so naturally he is also thinking about his birthday and the fun he will have trick or treating that night.

I’ve learned from the past that Halloween creeps up on us quickly.  With the rush of back to school and the start of a new schedule, it is easy to let time get the best of us.  That is why I have started shopping around for this year’s Halloween costumes earlier than previous years.  I find that not only am I able to get the costumes my kids want (which can be increasingly difficult as Halloween nears), but it also gives me a chance to keep an eye on clearance deals and specials online.

Most years, my children opt for costumes they are able to use to dress up throughout the year.  My son tends to gravitate toward Star Wars-themed costumes whereas my daughter usually goes for more girly, princess-themed garb.  We have found that by choosing these types of costumes, my kids usually get the opportunity to enjoy them and wear them again at playdates and library-themed events.  Other past costumes which we have found to make frequent appearances throughout the year include Disney costumes, pirates and superheroes, all which also are fun for everyday dress up!

When we found out we were given the opportunity to review a costume from WholesaleCostumeClub.com, I decided to let my son choose one, since Halloween is his special day.  After looking through the endless options on their website, my son settled on a Jawa costume, which he could not wait to receive. ( I wasn’t kidding when I said he has a thing for Star Wars costumes!)

The costume arrived quickly and neatly packaged in a waterproof envelope. Since my son is very tall for his age, I was excited to see that the costume is a long cape/dress type garment and appears to run true to size.  It is lightweight but very loose fitting, which is perfect for allowing my son to wear something heavy underneath if the weather happens to be cold.  The mask is airy and not too hot and much to my son’s excitement, the LED eyes on the mask make for a fun special effect. This particular costume is easy to take off and on and will be perfect for any school or other Halloween parties he may attend.

As we were trying on the costume for pictures, the plastic mask holding the LED eye lights detached from the hood.  I could see inside that it had been adhered to the hood with a thick glue- like material.  I decided to email Wholesale Costume Club to ask how they handle a defective costume.  The email was returned promptly with a sincere apology and  the response I received was “we have customers return the (defective) product for a replacement (with free shipping both ways).”  In addition, I was assured that a new costume would be sent out immediately.  For me, there is nothing better than excellent customer service, and I cannot tell you how happy I was with the promptness and sincerity of the service I received.

I have to say, WholesaleCostumeClub.com is such a pleasant and hassle-free way to shop for costumes – any time of year!  With its unbeatable selection ranging from infants to adults and plus size as well as a range of prices to fit your budget, you are sure to find something for everyone in one shopping experience.  You do not need to be a member, but for $5 per year, you can become a member and receive lower prices on the costumes you purchase throughout that year.  If you are planning to order more than one costume per year, I’d say the membership is definitely worth considering.  They also offer flat rate shipping ($5.99 for US ground or $6.99 for expedited), so the price will not change no matter how many costumes you order in one shipment.  I highly recommend heading over to their site to check out their awesome selection and deals.

Have you or your children started thinking about what to be for Halloween this year?  Now is the time, since Wholesale Costume Club is giving away one costume of your choice (up to $30 value) to one lucky Delco Deal Diva reader!!!  Simply enter via the easy Rafflecopter form below.  Good Luck!
