I will be the first to admit it – I am guilty.
I am guilty of wearing my beach cover up for hours a the pool or beach to cover myself up.
I lack confidence.
I am self conscious about my jelly belly and my body’s many imperfections.
Swimsuits make it difficult to hide the things I am so great at covering with clothes
They make it even harder to hide my emotions,
My lack of self confidence,
My sheer embarrassment.
This year I have been working hard to watch what I have been eating and working out hard several days a week.
It has been paying off
So far 11 pounds GONE!
But I still have the same nervousness about putting on that bathing suit again.
For once I want to feel beautiful, despite my shape.
I refuse to sit and wear my cover up this year while my kids beg me to play with them at the pool
I am going to be that Mom that enjoys my summer more than I ever have.

This is the first year in a long time that I can actually say that I am excited to shop for my swimwear.
