Two weeks ago, I attended a fun and informative Social Media Mom Mixer event at the Hyatt Bellevue in Philadelphia. Hosted by fellow Philly Social Media Moms bloggers Colleen Padilla, Classy Mommy, and Whitney Wingerd, Mommies With Style. This was the third Mom Mixer I have had the privilege of attending and as always it was absolutely fabulous!
Just in time for the holidays, we were treated to an event filled with influential brands, products and information galore. It is always such a treat to attend Mom Mixer, as it is not only a lovely morning out with some of my favorite local bloggers, but I love the opportunity to learn all about new and upcoming products so that I can come back and tell my readers all about what’s new and exciting – especially this time of year when we are all ready to get some holiday shopping started.
The event was sponsored by Vaseline. As a nurse and Mom, I wash my hands 50 or more times a day! All of the washing and washing again leaves my skin dry and cracked. Combine this with the cold, harsh winter temperatures – and I am literally a mess if I do not moisturize and care for my skin on a daily basis! Much to my excitement, Vaseline and two amazing products on hand that I am super excited to share with you.
First – Vaseline’s newest product – Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips. If you are like me and prefer a quick swipe of color for everyday use, this Vaseline product has a rosy tint and will moisturize and keep your lips slightly glossy and hydrated day in and day out with daily use. It has a slight, pleasant berry vanilla like flavor – which is certainly a plus in my book! The container is tiny, so it’s super easy to pop into your purse for on the go use and at a SRP of $1.99 at most retailers, it would make an absolutely darling stocking stuffer for the lady (or sweet girl) in your life. I am absolutely crazy about this stuff and cannot get enough of it! This is one you are certainly wanting to check out.
For those of you really wanting to splurge or spoil someone with some holiday bling this Christmas, check out the Vaseline special Bejeweled Rosy Lips mini jar, specially adorned with fine European crystals! Priced at $45, you can find this special edition version at Kitson.com.
Another awesome product that I was introduced to at the event was the Vaseline Spray & Go moisturizer. Yes – that’s correct – you just spray and go. Created for busy Moms like me, this lotion comes in a special spray can. You simply spray onto your skin, rub in and get dressed! There is no dry time needed and no sticky residue left behind. I love that it come in three varieties – Total Moisture (which contains pure oat extract), Aloe Fresh (infused with pure aloe) and Cocoa Radiant (infused with pure cocoa butter). All 3 smell and feel amazing and make keeping up with your daily skin routine quicker and easier than ever! Once again, this is a great stocking stuffer for the ladies in your life and a wonderful treat for yourself as well!
Of course the Mom in me as immediately drawn to all of the toys on display for this holiday season. Elmo was on hand courtesy of Hasbro to greet us with great big hugs!
Hasbro had an amazing play area filled with Sesame Street toys that would be perfect for your littlest Sesame Street Fans. In addition there was a play area filled with some other hot toy favorites including the new Monopoly Empire Game, Furby Boom, Playskool Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots Beam Box Game System, Play-Doh Disney Princess Design-a-Dress Boutique Set and one of my very favorites – FurReal Friends Cuddles My Giggly Monkey Pet. It was so much fun to have hands on time checking out all of these hot holiday favorites. I couldn’t help but cuddle and carry around Cuddles My Giggling Monkey Pet – I could imagine that most little girls who love dolls would absolutely adore this sweet interactive little Monkey and I am sure it will be on lots of little girls lists this holiday season!
Next up was a visit with Just Play Toys. As the Mom of a 6-year-old who is crazy about all things Doc McStuffins, I was eager to hear all about this years’ latest and greatest. Some of this year’s hot Doc McStuffins toys include this absolutely awesome Just Play Doc McStuffins Get Better Check Up Center which includes everything kids need to imagine they are juts like Doc taking care of their toys, giving check ups and just having tons of pure fun! Once again, the Disney Doc McStuffins Time for Your Checkup Interactive Talking Doll + Lambie Plush Doll is a favorite for any little fan who enjoys interactive fun. And for those looking for a gift under $20 for your Doc McStuffins fan, check out these precious These Cute Doc McStuffins Make Me Better Sets! Just play also has a fabulous collection of Minnie Mouse Inspired Toys as well as Barbie Inspired Toys . How cool is this Just Play Barbie Deluxe Styling Head Doll Playset? I love how you can even paint her nails! How fun is that? These toys sure have come a long way from the toys we grew up with and loved! After spending some time playing with these holiday favorites, I began getting excited about holiday shopping for my own kids and was thrilled by all of the inspiration surrounding me!
As we all know, holiday time also means lots of mingling, parties and holiday fun. Many of these gatherings include food and treats. Whether you are hosting or attending as a guest, chances are that you will need to be ready to bring or provide some snacks that guests are sure to love. Have you tried CVS Gold Emblem products? Oh wow! If you have not – you must head over to CVS and check out some of their amazing snacks! We had the opportunity to sample a bunch of their snacks and let me tell you – these are sooooo delicious! The line includes favorites everyone will love from salty popcorn to a yummy trail mix which combines the best of sweet and salty to cereal bars and chocolate bars and unbelievably decadent cookies that will make your mouth water! I had no idea CVS had such a diverse selection of goodies and from the first bite I could understand why they call their cookies “absolutely divine”! As a busy working Mom on the go, being able to grab snacks and go will certainly help make the holiday season less stressful. I cannot wait to pick up some of these goodies to share with all of my friends at our next get together. Who knew we could find such yummy treats at a place as convenient as CVS??
Next up Children’s Advil was on hand to tell us about some of their products while treating guests to mini massages! Did you know that in addition to their wonderful line of Children’s products they also have a Feel Better Activity Center link right on the Children’s Advil Facebook Page, which is a great place to keep children busy and entertained when they are feeling under the weather and stuck at home (or the doctor’s office)? I’m loving this idea!
Robitussin was on hand to discuss their line of products to help get us through cold & flu season. We had fun spinning their giant wheel and earning a special prize while learning about the “coughequences” of battling a cold!

Kelly,
I did not know you are a nurse. That gives extra relevance to your comments about how helpful the Vaseline products are for you. I will need to check some of them out. So sorry I missed the event. Colleen and Whitney always know how to do it up in style.
