Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs – Simple yet Fall Apart Delicious!
Pork Spare Ribs (Your choice of boneless or bone in – we prefer bone in)
1 Bottle of Barbecue Sauce (We like to use Giant Food’s Brand Sweet & Tangy)
1 Small onion, sliced (optional)
Salt & Pepper To Taste
Slice up ribs into sections to fit into slow cooker. Season ribs with salt & pepper (or dry rub or garlic if you prefer) Spray slow cooker with some cooking spray to prevent sticking. Toss in some sliced onion into bottom of slow cooker (optional) – Begin layering ribs in slow cooker, adding some BBQ sauce atop each section as you layer. Slow cook in crockpot for 8-10 hours on low. When complete, layer a baking pan or cookie sheet with tin foil. Place cooked ribs on baking sheet (not layered) and slather a little fresh BBQ sauce over each section once again. Place under broiler in over for 3-5 minutes until sauce starts to bubble and carmelize (or if you prefer to finish them on the grill, instead of placing on cookie sheet, wrap each section in tin foil with fresh BBQ sauce and place on heated grill for same effect! Enjoy – they should turn out fall off the bone delicious!
