For most of my life, my bath scale and I have had a love/hate relationship. I consider myself an active, health minded person. I work out regularly, at least 4-5 times a week, but most of my life, keeping my weight on track has been an ongoing struggle. Earlier this year, I recommitted myself to tracking my food daily on the My Fitness Pal app and I have been diligent about keeping a watch on my weight and measurements. Although I haven’t lost as much as I have liked, I have been doing a great job not only maintaining my weight, but keeping my body feeling healthier and stronger than it has been in a long time.
Because of my dedication to this healthy lifestyle, I have gotten back into the habit of weighing myself weekly. I have been keeping track of my losses and it has really helped to encourage me to stay on track and trudging on with my efforts.
Over the past year, I have had the privilege of reviewing several scales. One thing I really enjoy is extra features built right into the scale. Seeing the results without having to put pen to paper to figure them out really makes all the difference in keeping me motivated. When I was contacted with the opportunity to review the Ozeri WeightMaster 400 lbs Digital Bath Scale with BMI and Weight Differential Detection, I was especially intrigued to see how the BMI feature worked!
Some awesome features that really caught my attention about this scale are:
- The Scale can weigh up to 400 lbs. This is an especially great feature for persons just starting on a weight loss journey. Some scales max out at 300-350 pounds so this feature is exceptionally helpful for individuals starting out above this weight.
- The scale can store information for up to 5 individual users. Since we are a family of 5, I was thrilled to see that we can all have our own place to keep track without interrupting each others progress.
- It has accurate weight tracking with 7 day memory, making it easy to see your progress over time
- In addition to your weight, it calculates and displays your current BMI (Body Mass Index), a measure of your body fat based on your height and weight
- Immediately after displaying your weight and BMI, the scale’s Weight Differential Detection displays your “net weight change” from your last weigh-in (L1), the average of your last 3 weigh-ins (L3), and last 7 weigh-ins (L7).
- The screen flashes green when you lose weight and red when you have gained, giving you visual feedback of your current progress
- WeightMaster auto-calibrates with StepOn technology and auto-powers off to preserve battery life
- It is made of impact-resistant tempered glass and has non slip scratch resistant feet that won’t damage flooring
- Its sleek, thin design is compact enough to easily fit in small spaces in my bathroom to store
- The scale comes with batteries included, and it is backed by Ozeri’s 100% Hassle-Free Satisfaction Guarantee.
I absolutely love how easy it is to see my overall weight loss progress when using the Ozeri WeightMaster Digital Bath Scale. I especially love the BMI feature, because it gives me another indicator of the positive changes I am making in my body through exercise and food tracking. The option of allowing five separate members to track their weight at the same time has encouraged the whole family to weigh in with me weekly and keep track of their own progress as well!! Who knew a new bath scale could get the healthy balling rolling so quickly and easily?

What a great idea to store information for each user! That would totally sway my husband to weigh himself! And the quick color coded feedback is so key – I would probably not yet put my contacts in before weighing myself so I know I wouldn’t be able to see the numbers, but I would totally be able to see the color difference! Thanks for sharing this!
