 Circus Xtreme Review

Are you looking to spend some quality time with the family this weekend?  How about surprising the family with a little Valentine’s Weekend Date?  You are certainly in luck as the Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus has rolled into Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center now through February 16th.  Ringling Bros newest show, Circus Xtreme, is more exciting and adventurous than ever!

My family and I had the pleasure of attending opening night this past Wednesday evening, and let me tell you – you are in for a real treat!  Circus Xtreme is not just your average circus – it combines all of the fun and tradition of the circus we have all grown to know and love with some new, exciting, Xtreme performances that sets this show apart from any you have seen before!  With everything from stunts and tricks to acrobatics, precious performing poodles and edge-of-your-seats daring acts,  Circus Xtreme brings a whole new vibe to the experience – and is a thrill for the entire family – young and old.

The show is amazing, entertaining, funny, exciting, exhilarating – and just plain awesome.  Here are a few highlights you are in for if you pay a visit.

Silliness, Laughter and Lots of Clowning Around

The clowns are a real crowd pleaser with their silly antics and rib tickling acts.  You will find yourself laughing along with the kids as the clowns strut their stuff and keep the crowds giggling and entertained between acts.

Circus Animals

Circus animals are always one of our family’s favorite acts to watch out for.  You will be entertained by everything from elephants to tigers, camels, poodles, snakes and more!  Watch these sweet creatures perform amazing acts from headstands to dance routines-  sure to be a hit with the whole family.

High Wire Act and Stunts

The high wire act always keeps me on the edge of my seat.  It is breathtaking to watch each step, each hop, each pile up as these performers defy gravity with their daring maneuvers.  You will also see things like a human cannonball launch, and acrobatics galore on a Pendulum of Steel.  During the Pendulum of Steel act, I heard the crowd gasp numerous times.  The feats were just mind blowing.

When you head to the show, you will want to be sure to stay to the very end – NO SKIPPING OUT to beat the crowds!  The Xtreme finale features acrobatics galore – complete with Xtreme bikes, trampolines, flips, dives, vaults and more!  Its a free style sports extravaganza that we could not take our eyes off of!
