If there has one thing I have learned as an adult and even more as a parent – life is all about balance. I often struggle with finding balance in my life. Some days I wake up with a game plan and feel as if I am going to conquer the world and one little change can set everything off – including my mood and motivation. Does anyone else look at that infographic above and think – “Yep, that’s me!” We could all use a little balance in our lives, right? That is why I am super excited to have been selected to partner with Balance Bar on their awesome initiative, The Balance Project.
One of the biggest things I have found that really helps to keep me on track, especially with such a diverse schedule is meal planning. I plan out a menu from week to week and try my hardest to stick to it. Dinner scheduling always seems to come easy for me as I love to cook and I am always eager to try new and healthy recipes. Breakfast and lunch can be more of a challenge, especially since those times of day are often hectic and I find myself on the go. I love that I can quickly grab a Balance Bar as a meal replacement or snack when there is no time to sit down to a meal. I have also found that Balance Bars are great for a post workout energy boost and to help get me through between meals. Many of the bars are packed with vitamins, minerals and protein and are super portable and easy enough to pop into my pocketbook or bag on the go! (The dark chocolate crunch Balance Bar is my favorite!)
Did you know that researchers found that 98% of Americans believe achieving and maintaining balance in their life is important, however, only 14% report that they always feel balanced? I am not surprised! Schedules are hectic and many times we forget to take time for ourselves.
Do you feel like you could use more balance in your life? Be sure to check out the buzz on the Balance Bar Project webpage for tips on staying more balanced, money saving coupons and more. The key is – I need to do everything I can to keep it that way!

Smart idea! Getting into a weekly rhythm helped a lot and having a couple simple daily tasks just for me are my keys to balance.

That meal planning thing is big! I feel very off balanced if it comes to dinner time (or even the afternoon) and i have no clue what I am making! It’s so stressful!
