Learn about the language of the fan and its connection to love through a Cuban- inspired fan-making craft. Enjoy a double feature film screening on love of family, culture, dance, and art through the lens of Spike Lee’s Crooklyn and Nick Doob’s Carmen and Geoffrey. Take a tour of Audacious Freedom: African American’s in Philadelphia from 1776-1876 and AAMP’s latest exhibit Drapetomanía: Grupo Antillano and the Art of Afro-Cuba to experience the love that has allowed black people to endure and inspires them to retell stories and create images that celebrate their triumphs.
