Menu Plan Monday – What’s Cooking at Our House This Week

recipe_cards_1

So last week, I tried a new recipe – Korean Style Pork Chops. I promised I would be back with some feedback – and let me tell you – they were absolutely delicious AND my whole family LOVED them!! (WOOT!) These will definitely be going into future menu rotations.  I ended up substituting Frank’s Red Hot Sweet Chili Sauce for the Sriracha because I did not have any on hand and it worked out perfectly!  I’m sure this helped cut out some of the heat too, which was better for my little one who is not a big fan of ultra spicy food. Also, in the past two weeks, I have tried 4 different varieties of GIANT’s new Fresh Meal Kits and they were all incredible!!  They come with everything you need to prepare a meal for two in under 35 minutes.  The instructions are step by step and so easy to follow.  My husband, who normally doesn’t cook, agreed to make one of the dinners for me last week and it turned out perfect (if he can do it – anyone can!).  I highly recommend checking them out!  They are so yummy!!  Here’s my GIANT Fresh Meal Kits review if you want to know more. This week I’m continuing to clean out the freezer with a very small stop at Aldi or Price Rite for some fresh items and a few ingredients I do not have on hand for the dinners I am planning.  This is the first week where both of my kids have a small break from their demanding swim schedules so it will be so nice to have some time to cook and sit down to a nice meal pretty much everyday this week!  I am really looking forward to that awesome family time! Here’s what I am planning for the week:

Monday – Turkey Hot dogs on hot dog buns served with a side of baked beans and baby carrots and dip

Tuesday  – Beer and Brown Sugar Kielbasa in the slow cooker (I’ll be using Turkey Kielbasa and serving without the roll) , Pierogies, steamed veggies (never ended up making this last week)

WednesdayBaked Mozzarella Chicken Roll Ups, Buttered Noodles, steamed veggies

ThursdayKorean Beef and Rice and steamed veggies

FridayGorton’s Smart & Crunchy Fish Sticks, Baked french fries, salad

I’m linking this up at I’m an Organizing Junkie
