Who is looking for some fun ways to celebrate Christmas in July this week? I have the perfect idea for you! Beat the heat as you gather up the kids, grab your tickets and head over to Upper Darby Performing Arts Center!
This week Upper Darby Summer Stage presents, Elf, The Musical Jr.! The delightful musical based on the beloved holiday film is the run away hit at UD Summer Stage!
“Elf – The Musical Jr.” follows everyone’s favorite elf, Buddy (Jack Denman of Havertown), as he journeys from The North Pole to New York City to find his dad and discover his true identity. To his horror, Buddy discovers his dad, Walter Hobbs (John Fioravanti of Conshohocken) is on the naughty list, and that his half-brother, Michael (Nathan Shiller of Drexel Hill) doesn’t even believe in Santa (Michael Monaco-Vavrik of Wallingford)! Using the magic of Christmas, Buddy is determined to win over his family and remind them of the true meaning of Christmas. At the root of the story is the tale of someone bringing the spirit of Christmas to those who need it most.
Ahhh, who couldn’t use a little Buddy cheer this summer?!!
