Indulge in the Taste of Fall with Honeycrisp Inspired Creations from GIANT {and a $25 Gift Card Giveaway}

 This post and giveaway are sponsored by GIANT Food Stores.

When I think of fall, one of my favorite memories has to be apple picking.  I remember heading to Linvilla Orchards as a child and filling my basket with apples that I picked right from the tree!  I remember the fragrant smell of those apples against the cool crisp air.  I recall picking so many that my Mom would be mumbling to herself, “What are we going to do with all of these apples?!” Those certainly were the good old days.  These memories are ones that I am blessed to make with my own kids today – and to be perfectly honest, I love the opportunity to pick apples now as much as I did when I was a kid! And I have no doubt that these memories certainly have something to do with my special fondness for apples, especially this time of year.

The first time I tasted a Honeycrisp apple, I instantly fell in love.  Explosively crisp and juicy with a perfectly balanced sweet-tart taste, I’ve looked forward to indulging on these fall gems every year for as long as I can remember. Fall just wouldn’t be fall without my apples!

Honeycrisp products

However, unlike the days when I struggled to come up with recipes and ideas to use up all of the apples I picked, GIANT has done all of the work for us by introducing a line of Honeycrisp Apple Inspired Creations that are absolutely out-of-this-world!  Ready made and in stock for your enjoyment, you will find over 30 apple-inspired products throughout the store.  From apple granola and apple cinnamon rolls and waffles to apple fritters and apple cinnamonkey bread to  perfectly balanced sweet and savory flavors such as apple chicken meatballs, apple baked brie and Spiced Apple and Butternut Squash Bisque, GIANT has captured the deliciousness of the Honeycrisp apple in ways I never thought possible.   And for those who crave the scent of warm apples in the air or wrapped into your favorite blanket, you will also find Apple candles, Apple dish soap, Apple laundry detergent and even apple inspired décor to bring the crisp delicious scent of fall right into your home! Apple lovers are sure to be excited and inspired by all of these delectable delights.

Apple fritter bread

Just look at this apple fritter bread. The whole family has been munching away at it!  I’m trying my best to save a few pieces to try making apple fritter French toast!  Doesn’t that sound heavenly?

apple granola

Seriously, all of the products that we have tried so far have been incredible.  I have found the apple granola to be the most versatile of the products.  I’ve added it to yogurt, topped some warm apples with vanilla ice cream and apple granola, added it to my oatmeal for a little crunch and it is just as delicious as a snack right out of the bag! Can you see all of those yummy dried apple bits in there? {swoon}

This weekend I’ll be livening up my chicken on the grill with some of the the Mulled Apple Bourbon BBQ Sauce, because, well, what better way to say goodbye to summer and hello fall this Labor Day Weekend. I can’t wait to try it!
