Betsy Brody Photography – Mini Session and Headshot Specials You Won’t Want to Miss! (and a Peek at Our Family’s Photo Session)

Disclosure: My family and I received a mini portrait session and complimentary 8×10 as the result of winning a giveaway on her Facebook Page. My professional head shot has been generously sponsored by Betsy Brody Photography. My family purchased additional photos at our own expense. I received no monetary compensation for this post. All expressed opinions are my own.

Over the past few months I have been purging items throughout the house and trying to rearrange and redecorate my living room area.  One of my favorite walls in the dining room displays our family portrait along with pictures of my children.  As I was wiping down the pictures, I realized that it has been almost four years since our family last had a family portrait session.  Since fall is my absolute favorite time of the year, I decided that the beautiful orange, gold and red leaves would be the perfect backdrop for an updated family photo.  Since local photographer Betsy Brody did such a wonderful job with our last portrait session, I was excited to hear that she was hosting local mini sessions at the duck pond at Haverford College throughout the months of November and December and with our hectic schedules, a mini session was the perfect opportunity to get some beautiful family shots as well as some updated headshots in under 30 minutes.  The results were even more beautiful than we expected!

What I love most about Betsy is that she keeps the session very casual, making it comfortable for the whole family.  I have always been one to feel awkward in front of the camera but Betsy’s casual approach to her photography made it very easy to feel myself during the photo session.  She was gentle and patient with our family as we tried our best to relax and let our true personalities shine through. As you can see in these recent family photos of other local families, she really has a knack for bringing out the best in everyone’s personalities during her sessions.  Check out this amazing shot of my dear friend and Fellow blogger Jennifer over at PhillyFun4Kids.  How awesome is this portrait?  I can tell you her family is not only super beautiful, but they are such a fun and spirited bunch and this photo just captures them so perfectly!  How fun!!

At the end of our family session, Betsy mentioned that the proofs should be ready to view online in a few days and that we could get back in touch once I had chosen which pictures I would like to have reproduced. I loved that we would have the opportunity to view the proofs online in the comfort of our home at our own convenience.

The day after meeting Betsy for our portrait session, I received a message that our proofs were ready to view.  Each picture was more beautiful than the next!  Not only was the backdrop of the pond and the beautiful fall landscape breathtaking, but each shot captured our family’s relaxed vibe so perfectly.

Here are a few of our favorites; we have since ordered several of them and I cannot wait for our 10×13 family portrait to arrive to proudly display our living room. They will also be perfect for our holiday photo cards!
