Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest is the city’s largest outdoor ice skating rink, surrounded by a winter forest and HUGE holiday tree (to be lit on December 1st), ski-style Lodge with food from Chickie’s & Pete’s and Garces Group, a variety of hot and cold sweet treats from Franklin Fountain, and a rink-side cafe serving festival snacks. In addition, the site has tons of wood fire pits and propane heaters, adirondack chairs, cozy cabins, and a Kids Lodge filled with arcades

2017 Miracle on S. 13th St. Lighting Block Party!

1600 S 13th St in Philadelphia
 The residents of the 1600 Block of South 13th Street have been hard at work stringing lights and hanging garlands for all to enjoy. Saturday’s party will be the official unveiling of their efforts and we invite all to attend. 
There will be games and rides for kids and adults alike, a DJ spinning holiday tunes, a festive Photo Booth, and a variety of food truck vendors serving up delicious eats! The EPX Civic Association volunteers will be on site handing out hot cocoa to warm you up as you stroll the block. If you’re feeling crafty, they will also have a festive cookie decorating station where you can create fun icing designs.
NOTE: Parking in the area will be limited and the street will be closed to vehicle traffic. Use of public transportation is encouraged.

Lansdowne’s Small Business Saturday celebration culminates with the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony with the Mayor, residents, Borough officials, and guests at Veterans Mini Park, located at the entrance to the Municipal parking lot at 30 N. Lansdowne Avenue, across from the Lansdowne Theater at 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy a dance performance by Premiere Dance Academy and holiday hit music by Steve E Love Sound as we light the Christmas tree.
Little ones can warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and cider as they await the arrival of Santa atop a Lansdwone fire engine at 7:00 p.m. Bring your own camera to capture the kiddies as they give Santa their wish lists.
In the spirit of the season, guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food and new unwrapped toys which will be accepted on behalf of Lansdowne Presbyterian Church and Toys for Tots to benefit local families.

A family-friendly, holiday spirit-filled fun run and walk for all ages.

Come dressed in your best, most festive, totally decked out holiday costume! Winners get to ride in a float along the parade route!
