Honk, Jr. presented by Upper Darby Summer Stage

Waddle down to the barnyard and see the classic fairy tale “The Ugly Duckling” in a whole new light! Written by the people who created the Broadway version of Mary Poppins, the show teaches all that it is OK to be different and that we should judge people by what is on the inside, not by how they look.

Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be.

The show is approximately one-hour long, with no intermission, and is ideal for ages 4 and up.
Young audience members and their families are invited to come early for fun pre-show activities and to stay after the show to meet cast members! Free babysitting is offered for young family members who are too young to quietly enjoy the show. Parking is free.

Beat the heat as you gather up the kids, grab your tickets and head over to Upper Darby Performing Arts Center for a show that is sure to be perfect for the whole family! Performances are July 31st, August 1st  & August 2nd at 10:30 am and on Thursday August 1st at 7:30 pm at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.
