Civil War Reenactment at Colonial Plantation
September 21st and 22nd

The South is invading Pennsylvania again. Witness firearm demonstrations, drills, a burial squad, use of herbs in the 1860s and camp life. There will be a period fashions and displays of civilian life. Battles will take place on Saturday at 12pm and 4pm. Sunday’s battle will be at 2. Watch the North try to defend the farm against the invading forces from old Dixie. No visitors are permitted to enter after battle has begun and until it is finished. Admission for this event is $12.00 for adults, $8.00 for children ages 4-12.

Delaware County Symphony Instrument Petting Zoo for Children

The Delaware County Symphony invites all families to a free Instrument Petting Zoo for children. Seven classically trained musicians will explain and demonstrate to the children how their specific instruments: Flute, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bassoon, Oboe, Horn, Bass, and Clarinet, individually sound and are uniquely used in classical music to make a full symphonic sound. The program will conclude with an ensemble performance of Simple Gifts and When The Saints Go Marching In so the children may hear the sounds of the instruments performing together.

4th Annual Pints in the Square Craft Brew Fest and 5K

The 5K kicks off at 11 a.m. through the beautiful grounds of the Ellis Preserve. The run is a flat two loops around the Ellis Preserve and will be chip-timed Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Everyone who is registered by Sept. 9 is guaranteed a T-Shirt. Runners over the age of 21 have the option to purchase combo tickets for brew fest or designated driver. BIB PICK UP is on Tuesday, September 17th at The Running Place in Newtown Square from 4:30-7:30PM.
NOT A RUNNER? Skip the 5k and head straight to the festival. The CRAFT BREW FEST is from 12-4 pm. The Brew Fest is for ages 21+ and no one under the age of 21 will be admitted into the brew fest area. Join us at the Brew Fest for an afternoon of great beers, great food, and fantastic music! Sample and learn about 50+ beers from local and regional craft breweries. All Beer Fest and Combo ticket holders will receive a tasting glass with access to unlimited beer tastings. Live music will play all afternoon, and food will be available for purchase.
