“Thomas, Mavis, and the Strasburg Spooktacular” offers a unique opportunity for young engineers and their families to take a Halloween-decorated, 20-minute ride with everyone’s favorite blue #1 engine, Thomas the Tank Engine™ and to meet Sir Topham Hatt™, the Controller of the Railway!
In addition, Thomas will be joined by a very special guest! In October 2019,Thomas’s friend Mavis will visit the Strasburg Rail Road for the very first time! Thomas, Mavis, and the Strasburg Spooktacular includes Trick or Treat stations, Halloween costume contests, face painting, pumpkin decorating, other fall-themed games, and more. Step inside the Thomas & Friends Imagination Station with Thomas-themed activities including stamps, temporary tattoos, Thomas storytelling, and Thomas video viewing area. Haunted River Cruise

HOW DOES IT WORK? Bring (functioning!) unwanted or unused items. Anyone is free to browse & take whatever they’d like – whether they brought something or not. Following the ethos of the Buy Nothing Project no strings attached, no trading/buying/selling.
WHY? It’s a great way to clean out your basement & meet your neighbors at the same time! You might have just what your neighbor is looking for.
Items will be loosely organized by category and volunteers from the Buy Nothing Lansdowne, PA facebook group will be on hand to answer questions and keep things tidy. Please, no broken items, no mattresses and no TVs/Monitors. If you have a very large item, please check with event hosts before bringing it to the event or post it to your local Buy Nothing Group.
Please be mindful of the fact that this is an event meant to build community and consider your neighbors who will also be browsing. This is all done in kindness and sharing, and we hope attendees will act with that in mind.
Items leftover at 3:00 pm at the end of the event will be donated to the RePurpose Shop in Lansdowne or brought to Goodwill.

Norwood School’s Annual Indoor Trunk or Treat
3:30 PM
Come out to our annual indoor trunk or treat or should we say table and treat?! We need all the support we can get to keep this event possible so if you would like to come out and decorate a table the cost is $5 and you must provide the candy or treats. That $5 also gets two tickets for kids to trick or treat! There is also games and food for purchase during this event!! If you would like to decorate a table feel free to post or send us a message!!!
You can also pay at the door $3 a trick or treater! Trick or treating will start at 3:30pm and the event ends at 5pm.

Annual pumpkin carving event – Co-hosts Six:Eight Vineyard Church will be supplying cookies, apple cider and Master Carvers! Don’t forget to BYO pumpkin or we will have a limited supply available for a suggested donation of $5 each. Also, feel free to bring a child friendly carving tool (if you have one) and a spoon to scoop out the flesh. We look forward to seeing you for carving, cookies and apple cider!
