Today, November 13th is World Kindness Day. Honestly, I believe that everyday should be Kindness Day and I teach this to my children again and again. Little random acts of kindness can go a along way – and boy does it warm the heart when you do something nice for someone else. Little things like saying hello, opening a door, offering to help someone with their bags, stopping by to visit an elderly neighbor – they all can make such a difference in a person’s day and I truly believe that spreading kindness is contagious! Today is a perfect reminder of the importance of kindness and how easy it is to take just a second to be patient and kind to someone you encounter. With all of the hatred and bullying in this world, this is the perfect reminder and opportunity to join the movement to spread love and kindness. We will all be better for it and every bit of kindness in the world will make a difference.
For those of up who grew up mesmerized by Mr. Rogers, you are all in for a real treat this month! A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, starring Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers, is coming to theaters November 22nd. With Kindness Day and Thanksgiving this month, I can’t imagine a more perfect time for the release of this film. Mr. Rogers was the epitome of kindness and I absolutely cannot wait to see this film and Tom Hank’s portrayal of this beloved childhood icon. Is anyone else as excited as I am? Ahhh and Tom Hanks is one of my absolute favorite actors so that makes me even more thrilled to see this film!
