Christmas at the Choo Choo Barn
November 21 to December 31, 2019
The Choo Choo Barn transforms Traintown USA® to bring the magic of Christmas to its gigantic model train display.
Starting November 21, search for 58 hidden Santas (one for each year we have been open) and watch as Santa’s sleigh flies above the 1,700 square foot model train extravaganza, which includes 150 hand-built animations and 22 moving trains. Enjoy the holiday decorations throughout the display including holiday lights and the snow-covered landscape. Plus, take a close look at the zoo animals in Traintown to see how they’re getting into the holiday spirit.
The Christmas layout is open 7 days a week through December 31 from 10am-4:30pm (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days). Please note that we close early (3:30pm) on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Techgirlz: Code & Play Your Own Game With Makey Makey, Scratch And A DIY Game Controller

For middle school girls. Please bring your own laptop. 
In this workshop, students will use a Makey Makey Inventor’s kit to build a custom keyboard out of unconventional conductive materials, such as fruit and Play-Doh. Students will then pair their keyboard with the game created in Scratch programming in order to connect the digital and physical world.
**If your child does not already have a Scratch account, please create one on https://scratch.mit.edu/ by clicking “Join Scratch” (upper right). Please use your child’s email and a password they will remember!**

On December 15th Santa will be escorted throughout the neighborhoods in Rocky Run Fire Company’s local area – but – Santa has agreed to spend some extra time in station before we head out for the afternoon!
From 9AM-11AM we will be hosting a Meet & Greet with Santa for the residents of Middletown Township and the surrounding communities! Our volunteer photographers will be around to take photos for you if you’d like (they will be emailed, not printed onsite) or feel free to take your own photos!
Meet Santa, as well as our 100% volunteer members, and see the fire trucks close up.
