  • Notre Dame Food Truck Fest Friday June 4th 5 PM – 10 PM 990 Fairview Rd. Swarthmore, PA
    Food Trucks! Beer Garden! Kids Arden! Live Music! Cornhole! Kids activities! For 9 years the Trust has hosted its sold-out Barns & BBQ event. This year the tour is expanding to include a Barn Tour Only morning tour time at a budget-friendly price! You’ll get to experience some of the most picturesque farms that have been protected forever.
    Your tour will begin at Rushton Conservation Center (915 Delchester Road, Newtown Square), where you will receive your map with instructions. Children ages 3-5 and an adult are invited to explore nature with a refuge ranger! Participants will enjoy story-times, crafts, hikes, and more! Registration is required.   • Naturally Awesome Days: Shells and Shores at The Academy of Natural Sciences Saturday June 5th 10 AM – 5 PM 1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway Philadelphia PA Explore the shores and shells you find in the museum, and learn what unique adaptations water creatures have that help them to survive in their habitat. With balloon animals, music, games, a photo booth and more, it’s sure to be a great time! Don’t worry- we didn’t forget about your furry friends. Dogs will be welcome at this event, and you can even get your picture taken with your pooch! NOTE: Masks will be required and enforced at this event.   • Photographing Nature Sunday June 6th 10 AM at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge At Tinicum 8601 Lindbergh Blvd, Philadelphia, PA “Have you just discovered the beauty of the refuge and want to capture that to show to others? Want to learn more about the refuge at the same time and prep for a summer of exploration? With 100s of species of plants and animals, the refuge provides an array of stunning opportunities from wide landscapes to macro level floral photography. We’ll start under the pavillion with a short overview of the history of the refuge and how its configured. Then we will venture out along one of the main trails for approximately a 1 mile flat, relaxed pace walk around the boardwalk loop, stopping at a few different observation points along the way.
    No specific camera is required for this walk, anything from cell phone to point and shoots up to a full DSLR package is fine! (And, just FYI we have specific longer walks for cell phone and full camera photography coming up in future months!).
    We’ll return to the pavilion for a Q+A Session
    Total time – about 2 hours – all applicable social distance and safety measures will be followed.

    In your home space, be sure to set up a yoga mat and grab a refreshing beverage to hydrate during the class. It is recommended to have Yoga Blocks as well but is not required.   • Dino Stroll Saturday June 5th & Sunday June 6th 10 AM – 5 PM at Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks, PA “During this Dinosaur adventure, guests get up close and personal with almost 75 life-like creatures, reptiles and life-size dinosaurs, with some standing over 25 feet tall and spanning over 60 feet long, including T-Rex, Velociraptors and Stegosaurus, just to name a few. Dino Stroll will be the most realistic tour back into history with animatronic dinosaurs that are created with moving heads, necks, tails, wings, eyes blinking, mouths that open and close, breathing movements, synchronized sounds, spraying water and many more exquisite details that bring them to life.   • The Garden Railway at Morris Arboretum opens daily May 29 through October 11. Runs weekdays 10am – 5pm and weekends 9am – 5pm “The Garden Railway display is a miniature world with a quarter mile track running through it.   • Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink Friday, April 30 through Sunday, June 27 Hour-long sessions will be offered to the public Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – 8:45 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 11:15 p.m.  The rink’s retro-inspired design will feature a checkerboard floor and market lights. A colorful installation of overhead hula-hoops – designed and fabricated by Philadelphia’s Lucky Dog Studio – will add even more whimsy to the space.
