  • Outdoor Storytime at Veterans Memorial Park hosted by Marple Public Library Friday July 23rd 10 AM – 10:30 AM 354 Lawrence Road Broomall, PA Join every Friday in July and August for outdoor storytime in the gazebo at Veterans Memorial Park on Lawrence Road! Stories, songs, rhymes, wiggles, and fun! Recommended for kids ages 5 and under but all are welcome! No registration required.   • Stories on the Porch Friday July 23rd 10 AM – 10:30 AM at Media-Upper Providence Free Library Children ages 0-5 (older siblings welcome) are invited to sing, listen to stories, do movement activities and watch puppets on our covered porch. Registration is limited to six families. (May increase based on current conditions.) Please follow current CDC guidelines. Please note that weekly storytimes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are all the same each week, so please pick one day of the week that best works for your family.  Program may be cancelled for inclement weather (very stormy or very hot). During Christmas in July visitors can immerse themselves in the spirit of the Christmas by strolling through Philadelphia’s Garden District. Visitors can take advantage of holiday music, and experience visits from Santa! While it may not be December, Chestnut Hill is keeping Christmas traditions intact.   • Annual Butterfly Count with Cliff and Nancy Hence at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum Saturday July 24th 9 AM – 11 AM Come discover the butterflies of the Refuge! This walk will be part of an annual butterfly count to track butterfly population at the refuge. Walk will meet by visitor center and be at a relaxed paced on flat surfaces.
