  • Disney’s Jungle Cruise Invites Fans to the Cherry Hill Mall to Experience an Immersive Floral Display and Enter to Win $1,000! Wednesday, July 28th through Sunday, August 1st at Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill NJ in Cherry Hill Mall Grand Court Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures celebrates the release of their new action-adventure film, JUNGLE CRUISE, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, with an immersive display at Cherry Hill Mall. Beginning on Wednesday, July 28th, shoppers at the Cherry Hill Mall will be able to enter the world of JUNGLE CRUISE with an immersive floral display by Jennifer Designs. Visitors will be able to take their photo with the display and by posting to social media with the designated hashtags, be eligible to win prizes, including Fandango tickets to see the movie in theaters and one grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 Visa gift card!   • Outdoor Family Story Time Friday, July 30 at 10 AM at Ridley Township Library for ages 5 and under.  In-person program.   • Outdoor Storytime at Veterans Memorial Park hosted by Marple Public Library Friday July 30th 10 AM – 10:30 AM 354 Lawrence Road Broomall, PA Join every Friday in July and August for outdoor storytime in the gazebo at Veterans Memorial Park on Lawrence Road! Stories, songs, rhymes, wiggles, and fun! Recommended for kids ages 5 and under but all are welcome! No registration required. Masks (for ages 2+) and social distancing in effect.  Feel free to bring a blanket or towel to sit on. Playground fun encouraged afterwards! Details HERE
  • Stories on the Porch Friday July 30th 10 AM – 10:30 AM at Media-Upper Providence Free Library Children ages 0-5 (older siblings welcome) are invited to sing, listen to stories, do movement activities and watch puppets on our covered porch. Registration is limited to six families. (May increase based on current conditions.) Please follow current CDC guidelines. Please note that weekly storytimes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are all the same each week, so please pick one day of the week that best works for your family.  Program may be cancelled for inclement weather (very stormy or very hot).   • Outdoor Storytime at Crum Creek Park Friday July 30th 11 AM – 11:30 AM Join Mr. Scott for a socially distant outdoor storytime!  We will read books, sing songs, and do some movement activities. Bring a blanket or chairs if you would like! Please follow CDC guidlines for masking.  In the event of bad weather or the threat of bad weather, storytime will be cancelled for the day. Please check your email the day of the storytime if things are looking iffy. Registration is per family/group, not individual.   • Artspirations! Tie Dye T-shirts! Friday July 30th 1 PM – 4 PM at Upper Darby Township/Sellers Library – Municipal Branch Front Lawn For this program we’ll be Tie-Dying t-shirts. (A note of caution:  Don’t wear white clothes!)  Actually doing the tie-dye goes pretty quickly, but only a couple people will be dying at a time.  You’ll take the shirt home with you along with instructions for setting the dye so all the color doesn’t come out onto your other clothes in the wash. Artspirations is a drop in art program for teens, so you can work on the art project anytime between 1:00 – 4:00 pm.  Each week we will do a different art activity outdoors.  We’ll provide the materials, you bring the creativity and positive vibes.  Everyone must wear a mask during the event.  This program is open to teens entering grades 6-12 in the Fall.  Register separately for each of the events.” Details HERE
  • Summer Quest Craft Extravaganza Friday July 30th 2 PM – 6 PM at Upper Darby Township/Sellers Library – Sellers Memorial Branch All Ages Welcome! Come celebrate the summer at Sellers Memorial Branch and have lots of fun playing outdoor games, making endless amounts of crafts, and eating water ice!!!   • Friday Night Music | Soul, Rap/Spoken Word Friday July 30th 5 PM – 7:30 PM at Suburban Square in Ardmore Rae.Dianz (pronounced Radiance) relocated to Philadelphia in 2018, found the open mic scene, and made her place within it after dropping her first EP on SoundCloud ‘Buochic’. After 3 years, she’s working on her debut album, Rhapsody, that also ties into her visual art under the name, Rhapsody by Rae, a brand focused on casting a beautiful perspective on mental health and its treatment.     Get a closer look at trades of the eighteenth century in Newlin’s “History at Work” series.
    In 2021, the program will take place on the last Saturday of the month from July through October, 10am-3pm. Planned demonstrations will include: July – Millwrighting

  • Franklin Square 15th Birthday Celebration Saturday July 31st 10 AM – 10 PM Join Historic Philadelphia, Inc., to celebrate the 15th birthday of Franklin Square with a full day AND evening of fun! On Saturday, July 31, highlights from Summer Splash in Franklin Square will be showcased throughout the day, in addition to Franklin Square favorites Parx Liberty Carousel and Philly Mini Golf presented by IBEW Local 98.

    With FREE daily performances every 30 minutes, the 181-year-old historic fountain dazzles with a choreographed water spectacular with lights. Each performance is a selection of one of six songs.

  • The Old City Sweethearts Saturday July 31st 4 PM – 7 PM at Suburban Square in Ardmore The Old City Sweethearts are Philadelphia’s premiere vintage dance troupe, dedicated to reviving the art of the chorus girl through original choreographies and tribute pieces.   • Wildlife Walk with Ranger Wingyi Sunday August 1st 10 AM at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum Take a walk! The walk will begin with a 15 min stretch with Health Partners Plans, then Ranger Wingyi will guide a leisurely stroll across the boardwalk. Who knows what wildlife you will encounter?
