  • Upper Darby Summer Stage presents Yo, Vikings! August 11th – 14th at Upper Darby Performing Arts Center “Based on Judith Byron Schachner’s acclaimed book and the true story that inspired it, Yo, Vikings! is the story of Emma Katz, a spunky little girl with a limitless imagination.   • Free Fishing Day – No License or Equipment Needed at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge At Tinicum Friday August 13th 4 PM – 7 PM Hook your first fish today!   • Outdoor Storytime at Veterans Memorial Park hosted by Marple Public Library Friday August 13th 10 AM – 10:30 AM 354 Lawrence Road Broomall, PA Join every Friday in July and August for outdoor storytime in the gazebo at Veterans Memorial Park on Lawrence Road! Stories, songs, rhymes, wiggles, and fun! Recommended for kids ages 5 and under but all are welcome! No registration required.   • Stories on the Porch Friday  August 13th 10 AM – 10:30 AM at Media-Upper Providence Free Library Children ages 0-5 (older siblings welcome) are invited to sing, listen to stories, do movement activities and watch puppets on our covered porch. Registration is limited to six families. (May increase based on current conditions.) Please follow current CDC guidelines. Please note that weekly storytimes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are all the same each week, so please pick one day of the week that best works for your family.  Program may be cancelled for inclement weather (very stormy or very hot). Bring a blanket or chairs if you would like! Please follow CDC guidlines for masking.  In the event of bad weather or the threat of bad weather, storytime will be cancelled for the day.   • Storytime with Local Author Amy Thomas Saturday August 14th 10 AM – 11 AM Join local author Amy Thomas for an interactive storytime featuring her latest book, It Smells Like Tuesday, about a boy who remembers every scent he’s ever smelled!
