  • Outdoor Family Story Time Friday, August 6th at 10 AM at Ridley Township Library for ages 5 and under.  In-person program.   • Outdoor Storytime at Veterans Memorial Park hosted by Marple Public Library Friday August 6th10 AM – 10:30 AM 354 Lawrence Road Broomall, PA Join every Friday in July and August for outdoor storytime in the gazebo at Veterans Memorial Park on Lawrence Road! Stories, songs, rhymes, wiggles, and fun! Recommended for kids ages 5 and under but all are welcome! No registration required. Masks (for ages 2+) and social distancing in effect.  Feel free to bring a blanket or towel to sit on. Playground fun encouraged afterwards! Details HERE
  • Stories on the Porch Friday  August 6th10 AM – 10:30 AM at Media-Upper Providence Free Library Children ages 0-5 (older siblings welcome) are invited to sing, listen to stories, do movement activities and watch puppets on our covered porch. Registration is limited to six families. (May increase based on current conditions.) Please follow current CDC guidelines. Please note that weekly storytimes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are all the same each week, so please pick one day of the week that best works for your family.  Program may be cancelled for inclement weather (very stormy or very hot).   • Outdoor Storytime at Crum Creek Park Friday August 6th 11 AM – 11:30 AM Join Mr. Scott for a socially distant outdoor storytime!  We will read books, sing songs, and do some movement activities. Bring a blanket or chairs if you would like! Please follow CDC guidlines for masking.  In the event of bad weather or the threat of bad weather, storytime will be cancelled for the day. Please check your email the day of the storytime if things are looking iffy. Registration is per family/group, not individual.   • Frozen Escape Room Party Friday August 6th 11 AM – 1 PM Cool off this summer with our Frozen Escape Room! Join us for a story and an awesome escape room, then bring home your very own Olaf take-and-make craft! The winner of our Frozen raffle will be chosen during the event. The escape room is aimed towards 10-12 year-olds, but younger children are welcome to join in on the fun! There is limited space for this event, so registration is required. Details HERE
  • Mini Bottle Rocket Friday August 6th 3 PM – 4:30 PM at Upper Darby Township/Sellers Library – Sellers Memorial Branch Preschool to 2nd Grade Did you know you can make and launch a water bottle rocket using just a plastic bottle, water, and baking soda?   • Farmer’s Market Story Time! Friday August 6th 4 PM – 4:25 PM For all ages! Join Miss Angela from Newtwon Public Library, or Miss Elena from Marple Public Library for some stories and songs at Newtown Square’s Farmer’s Market! Stay and shop their many local vendors!   • Peach & Sunflower Festival at Linvilla Orchards Saturday August 7th 8 AM – 6 PM This day will be “jam”-packed with Sunflower Selfies,  Pick Your Own Peaches & other fresh fruits and vegetables, Hayrides, Face Painting, Train Rides, Fishing, Music, Games and so much more! Our host for the Peach and Sunflower Festival will be the one and only Silly Joe!  He has planned music, fun and games for kids of all ages!  Our day will start off at 11AM with Cool Beans Music. Steve ‘Cool Beans’ Pullarra is a Grammy award winning children’s performer!  Cool Beans will perform two shows this day – at 11AM and at 12 noon. At 1:00PM  and again at 2:30PM, New Jersey band Sun Dog will be joining us for some rock music.  Known for their diverse repertoire of classic rock, country rock, and classic country, with a splash of Motown and early rock & roll added to the mix so that there is something for everyone!
