Adaptive Ice Skating

Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest’s FREE Adaptive Sled Skating program is back on Sundays through February 2. Bring family and friends to enjoy free instructive skate lessons for those with mobility restrictions. Participants will work with rink staff to learn sled skating pro-tips on a regulation-size rink on the Philadelphia waterfront.
The site is wheelchair accessible.
All ages are welcome to participate in the lessons.
There are a limited number of sleds per lesson. Each sled is first come, first serve.
Rink staff will rotate the sleds to make sure each participant has a chance to practice.

Owning a Dog: The Basics
1 PM – 2 PM
at Middletown Free Library
This 60 minute session is a great introduction to being a new pet parent. If you’ve recently added a puppy or rescue dog to your family, this program will cover the basics: potty training, crate training, nutrition, acclimating to the new environment, and more. Plus Q&A at the end. This program will be presented by Lauren Ambrose, a certified dog trainer. This program is free and open to all patrons. Registration is required.

Registering means you will commit to all classes!
Learn the basics of cooking & baking with our amazing volunteer Diane F.! Kids will learn & practice how to read a recipe, measure ingredients & use basic kitchen utensils. Registration is required, and adults are encouraged to stay to help. Each week a new recipe & edible treat will be made!
